
Nets rout Wizards to snap 4-game skid
Hollis-Jefferson leads the way for Brooklyn with 21 points in victory

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson had 21 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Brooklyn Nets to a 119-84 victory over the Washington Wizards on Friday night.
Caris LeVert scored 17 points, while DeMarre Carroll, Spencer Dinwiddie and Nik Stauskas added 15 apiece to help the Nets snap a four-game losing streak.
Kelly Oubre Jr. had 13 points for the Wizards.
The Nets never trailed in the game, taking an early 10-point lead before settling for a 26-23 advantage after the first quarter.
A layup by Hollis-Jefferson with 2:36 left in the second quarter gave the Nets an 11-point lead, and they went into halftime ahead 53-43.
Hollis-Jefferson finished the first half with 15 points and eight rebounds.
Dinwiddie, who did not score in the first half, scored 11 straight to give the Nets a 64-47 lead with 9:24 left in the third quarter. That was followed by a three-point play by Carroll as Brooklyn went up by 20.
Later in the quarter, Jarrett Allen put together a six-point streak to put the Nets up by 30 points and they went on to an 88-61 lead heading into the final quarter.
Dinwiddie scored all of his points in that decisive third quarter.
Overall, Washington shot 36.6 percent, while Brooklyn connected on half its shots.
Pelicans 111, Magic 97: DeMarcus Cousins had 26 points, 11 rebounds and six assists, and the New Orleans Pelicans never trailed in a win over Orlando. Anthony Davis added 20 points and 11 rebounds, and Jrue Holiday had 24 points for New Orleans. The loss was the seventh straight for the Magic, who have not led at any point in their past three games. Jonathon Simmons led the Magic with 22 points.
Heat 113, Mavericks 101: Wayne Ellington tied a career high with 28 points, Josh Richardson scored 24 and Miami never trailed on its way to beating Dallas. Tyler Johnson scored 19 and Bam Adebayo scored 14 for Miami, which shot 64 percent — second-best in franchise history.
Bucks 109, Hornets 104: Khris Middleton scored 28 points, Giannis Antetokounmpo had 26 and Milwaukee overcame a late deficit to beat Charlotte. After Kemba Walker gave Charlotte a 104-100 lead with 2:24 remaining, Milwaukee closed on a 9-0 run, the Bucks tied it on dunks by Antetokounmpo and Middleton and took the lead on Eric Bledsoe's layup. Bledsoe had 24 points and 10 assists in the first game of the home-and-home set.
Clippers 128, Rockets 118: Austin Rivers scored a career-high 36 points with six 3-pointers, and Los Angeles withstood James Harden's second straight 51-point performance to beat Houston. The Rockets, who had a 14-game winning streak snapped by the Lakers on Wednesday, lost consecutive games for just the second time this season.
Thunder 120, Hawks 117: Russell Westbrook hit a 3-pointer with 1.7 seconds left to cap a 30-point, 15-assist outing, and Oklahoma City held off Atlanta. Carmelo Anthony added 24 points on 7-for-12 3-point shooting, and Paul George scored 17 points for the Thunder.
