Armed man shot repeatedly in Brooklyn bar gunfire

A gunman opened fire inside a Brooklyn alehouse, blasting a fellow patron three times early Saturday, police said.

The 36-year-old victim was shot in his head, stomach and buttocks inside Steeplechase Beer Garden on Surf Ave. near W. 16th St. in Coney Island around 1:50 a.m., according to authorities.

First responders rushed the wounded man to NYU Langone Hospital - Brooklyn where he is in stable condition.

Medical staff discovered a firearm on the victim when he arrived at the hospital, sources said.

There were no immediate arrests.

Steeplechase Beer Garden sits just outside the gates of MCU Park, the Brooklyn Cyclones ballfield where the fabled Steeplechase Amusement Park once stood.
