HARTFORD -- The Hartford Wolf Pack scored four goals in the third period for a come-from-behind 6-4 victory over the Providence Bruins before a crowd of 3,026 at the XL Center on Friday night.
Hartford trailed 3-2 after two periods but received goals from Scott Kosmachuk and Eric Selleck within 1:27 in the third to take the lead.
Peter Holland of the Wolf Pack beat Zane McIntyre (34 saves) from a sharp angle 47 seconds into the game to give Hartford a 1-0 advantage.
The P-Bruins answered with an unassisted goal by Justin Hickman at 12:50.
Matt Beleskey gave Providence the lead 2:02 later with his first goal for the P-Bruins, firing a screened shot from 55 feet past Marek Mazanec (32 saves).
Hartford's Ryan Graves tied the game at two at 18:01 of the first period.
Kenny Agostino put Providence ahead, 3-2, just 19 seconds into the second period, assisted by Colton Hargrove and Austin Czarnik.
McIntyre stopped all 18 Hartford shots in the second period.
Kosmachuk tied the game at 7:06 of the third period after Providence was assessed a too-many-men penalty.
In the lineup for the first time in three weeks, Selleck made it 4-3 for the Wolf Pack at 8:33, whipping a wrist shot past McIntyre for his first point in 20 games this season.
Gabriel Fontaine extended the lead to 5-3 with a shorthanded tally at 14:06, then Vinny Lettieri sealed the Hartford win with an empty net goal at 18:49.
Hickman scored Providence's fourth goal with 42 seconds left.
The P-Bruins play in Springfield on Saturday night at 7.
