Mariah Carey Returns to Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve After Last Year's Performance Disaster

Mariah Carey is returning to Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve on ABC this year after a disastrous performance at last year's show.

Carey's New Year's Eve performance at last year's celebration ended with the esteemed singer walking off stage after mic issues made it seem like she didn't know her own song. The mixup made headlines, though the diva wasn't shaken too much by it. So this year she's returning for a do-over and to show what she's really made of.

Mariah Carey's Reality Show Is Officially Dunzo

"We can all agree that last year didn't go exactly as planned and we are thrilled to move forward together to provide America with an incredible night of music and celebration on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2018. See you in Times Square," the singer said in a statement in conjunction with Dick Clark Productions.

Carey is the best-selling female recording artist of all time with over 200 million albums sold and still holds the record of most Billboard 100 No. 1s for any solo artist at a whopping 18. Let's face it, if anyone could pull of a comeback, it would be Mimi.

Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest airs Sunday, Dec. 31 at 8/7c on ABC.
