Normal life has been affected by fog at many places in the state including capital Bhopal. Friday was the coldest day of the season in Bhopal as the day temperature fell by 4 degrees Celsius and was recorded at 23.3 degrees Celsius.
Fog has hit normal life at other places in the state as well including Gwalior, Sagar and Rewa. The weatherman said the fog and dip in mercury is due to the effect of western disturbances and turf.
The fog was dense at Gwalior-Chambal division, Rewa, Sagar and Bhopal divisions. In Bhopal, people were seen sitting around bonfire even during day time. In the early morning the fog was dense and weather was very cold.
The sun was visible only after 12 noon bringing some relief. According to the Weather Department,shallow to moderate fog at isolated places isvery likely over north Madhya Pradesh during next 24 hours.
Train, air traffic hit
The air and train traffic has been affected due to fog. The trains coming from Delhi arrived in Bhopal with delay of two to six hours. Similarly many flights were also delayed by up to two hours due to bad weather.
