NEW DELHI: Congress president
Rahul Gandhi on Saturday took a sarcastic jibe at the BJP, saying that if the latter made a film series, it would be called "Lie Hard."
"If BJP had a film franchise it would be called Lie Hard #BJPLieHard #BJPLies #HowManyBJPLies," he tweeted.
Incidentally, 'Die Hard' is a popular and action-packed Hollywood movie series that stars actor
Bruce Willis as its central character.
Rahul's tweet comes a day after he claimed that the BJP's foundation was based on lies.
"The whole architecture of BJP is about lies, the whole structure is about lies. Modi Model in Gujarat was a lie. When we spoke to the people, they said there's no model, what's going on is that the BJP is stealing there resources," he alleged on Friday.
He also questioned the government's economic reforms, including
demonetisation and
Goods and Services Tax.
"Whether you look at the Modi Model or the promise of Rs 15 lakh in every bank account, demonetisation or Gabbar Singh Tax... everything is a lie," he charged after chairing his first
Congress Working Committee meeting as party chief.
