Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has decided to construct general industrial feeders for connecting such clusters of industries falling on rural domestic feeder and mixed urban feeder provided they fulfill the prescribed conditions.
It has been directed that a comprehensive proposal with regard to all such cases be put up by Chief Engineer (Operation) concerned before December 31 for appraisal and efforts be made to complete the work upto March 31, 2018, said a spokesman of DHBVN.
He said that the combined load of the cluster of industries should not be less than one Mega Volt Ampere (MVA) and there should be six or more industrial consumers situated in the clusters.
Apart from this, there should be no defaulting amount outstanding against them. In case of Low Tension (LT) industrial consumer falling in the cluster and fed through Distribution Transformers (DTs) supplying power to mixed load, separate DT would be provided by the Nigam for that consumer. Right of way should be available for construction of the feeder and spare Vacuum Circuit Breakers (VCB) or sufficient space for installation of additional VCB be available at the feeding station, he added.
The spokesman said that Peak Load Exemption Charges (PLEC) would be applicable on the High Tension (HT) consumers during the peak load hours after shifting of their connection to the newly proposed industrial feeder as already applicable for industrial consumers falling on urban/industrial/independent industrial feeders.
The case would be processed and approved by Chief Engineer (Operation) concerned on case to case basis depending upon the merit of the case. The payback period would not be more than 24 months, he said.
