Travel In Swanky Howrah Rajdhani From Today

People travelling to New Delhi by the Rajdhani Express from Howrah on Saturday are in for a pleasant surprise. They will get to travel on the first Howrah-New Delhi ‘Swarna’ Rajdhani Express to be launched by Eastern Railway(ER). The New Delhi-Sealdah Rajdhani Express became the first Rajdhani tobeupgradedunder Indian Railway’s Swarna scheme in November this year.

“Under the Swarna scheme, rakes have got new fittings, cleaner and better toilets, LED lighting, water filters. Special care will be taken to ensure that these trains are not detained and on-board staff are courteous to passengers. The interiors have been painted in an aesthetic colour scheme in keeping with international standards. The toilets have auto janitors, improved soap dispensers and better quality dustbins. First AC passengers will also get special blanket covers of two different colour schemes to distinguish between Up and Down journeys.
