KANNUR: Kerala governor should rise up to the occasion and deliver his duties in the wake of the collapse of the law and order situation in the state,
BJP state president
Kummanam Rajasekharan has demanded.
The BJP leader, who was here on Saturday to meet the party workers undergoing treatment in the hospitals following the attack allegedly by the
CPM, also said the governor should not be a mute witness to all these things.
"When a BJP worker was murdered in Thiruvananthapuram, the governor had intervened but despite this, the violence is continuing in different parts of the state, so it is not right on his part to keep quiet," said the BJP state president in no uncertain terms.
If this situation continues, the central government will have to intervene, warned the BJP leader, adding that the BJP state unit will submit a report to the governor with respect to the law and order situation here.
The violence is spread to many other parts of the state despite the bilateral peace meetings that decided to sort out all issues amicably and bring about sustainable peace in the region because the CPM unilaterally violated all the peace initiatives, he alleged.
The saddest part is that some police officers also act like CPM leaders, and they also support all sorts of violence, he said.
Despite all these things, the state human rights commission has not intervened, said the BJP state president
