After being convicted in second of the five fodder scam cases, RJD president Lalu Prasad Yadav today fired a fresh salvo at the BJP saying he enjoyed the support of entire Bihar and that "truth shall prevail."

Lalu Prasad was today convicted along with 14 others in a case of fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 89 lakh from Deoghar district treasury in 1990s. He was taken into police custody soon after the CBI court pronounced him guilty. He will remain in jail till January 3, when quantum of sentence will be decided.

After being convicted, Lalu Prasad mounted attack on the BJP in a series of posts on Twitter. Lalu Prasad blamed the BJP for his conviction in the 21-year-old fodder scam case.

He said, "Jhoothe jumle walon sach apni zidd par khada hai. Dharmayuddha mein Lalu akela nahin pura Bihar saath khada hai (Those who spread lies must listen, truth stands firmly on its ground. Lalu is not alone in this dharmayuddha, entire Bihar is with me)."

"Listen you all, you can torment this child of poverty but cannot defeat him," Lalu Prasad said in another tweet.

Lalu Prasad further said, "A lie can travel half way around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes. But still prevails...In the end though," adding, "Truth can be made to appear as a lie, as ambiguous or a half lie by concerted onslaught of bias driven propaganda. But blurred layer of bias and hatred will still be removed, come what may! In end Truth will win."

Playing the caste card after his conviction in the Deoghar fodder scam case, Lalu Prasad said, "Had people like Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King, Baba Saheb Ambedkar failed in their efforts, history would have treated them as villains. They still are villains for the biased, racist and caste-ist minds. No one should expect any different treatment."

"Powerful people and powerful classes always managed to divide society into ruling and the ruled classes. And whenever anyone from the lower hierarchy challenged this unjust order, they would be deliberately punished," read Lalu Prasad's another tweet.

Lalu Prasad's post-conviction tweets are being re-tweeted and commented upon by large number of his followers but the posts leave one wondering: Who is tweeting for the RJD chief in police custody?
