Everyone has been in a situation where they read something shocking, only to find out days later that it was exaggerated, or just plain fake.
With so much information available online and the ability to share it rapidly via social media, it can be easy to get duped by a fake headline.
Luckily, even before the term "fake news" was popularized by Donald Trump, rumor-busting site Snopes.com was hard at working separating fact from fiction.
