A 35-year-old man has been arrested after a woman was found dead in a property near to where two men were discovered injured in Carrutherstown, Dumfries.
The woman has since been named as 52-year old Beverley Bliss.
The man is being detained in police custody for the woman's murder and the alleged attempted murder of a 47-year-old man on Friday, December 22.

The 47-year-old man is currently being treated within Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary where hospital staff describe his condition as stable.
Relatives are aware and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
