DHAKA: Members of Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested Bangladesh Kalyan Party Secretary General MM Aminur Rahman Friday night (December 22), nearly four months after he reportedly went missing in August.
The law enforcers nabbed him from Shahjadpur area of Dhaka at around 11:40pm. He was shown arrested in a case filed in 2015.
DB (Dhaka North) Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Shahjahan Saju told Banglanews that Aminur was in hiding over four months to avoid arrest as he was accused in a case filed with Gulshan Police Station on February 16, 2015.
Earlier, Aminur went traceless since he was returning to his Savar residence on the night of August 27.
Bangladesh Kalyan Party Chairman Maj Gen (retd) Syed Muhammad Ibrahim (Bir Pratik) acknowledged that Aminur has been found.
“He was missing”, said the party chairman.
