CBI court convicts Lalu Prasad Yadav in fodder scam case, quantum of punishment on January 3
A special CBI court today held RJD Lalu Prasad Yadav guilty along with 15 others is one of the six cases in the fodder scam.

Lalu was immediately taken into custody after the verdict was announced by CBI judge Shivpal Singh. The court will announce the quantum of punishment on January 3, 2018.

The court, however, acquitted six others, including former Bihar CM Jagannath Mishra.

The fodder scam came to light in the 90s, where huge amount to the tune of Rs 89.74 lakh was siphoned off from government treasuries of Deoghar and other places between 1991-94. Of the six cases pertaining to the fodder scam, this is the second case in which the verdict has been pronounced.
