Prize distribution in Art festival

Ujjain : Artists from Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Haryana, Punjab, Kathmandu and Russia painted beautiful paintings on canvas at the ongoing annual International Art Festival organised by Kalavart Nyas,. 45 senior artists and 70 junior artists are showcasing their talent in the festival.

Trust secretary Pawan Garwal and co-ordinator Bharti Kale said that on second evening of the fest, prize distribution for Kalavart National Art Contest for college students was organised. This year, trust received more than 150 entries from 20 colleges in three fields of art- drawing, painting and graphics.

The winners were selected by Indore’s famous painter Padamshree Bholu Modh.  More than 20 cash prizes and nearly 30 consolation prizes were given away this year. Chief guest of prize distribution ceremony was joint commissioner Prateek Sonwalkar and special invitee was City Press Club president Sandeep Mehta. Senior artist of Delhi, Kalicharan Gupta presided over the programme.
