Jubo League leader's house torched in Joypurhat

Unidentified people torched a tin-roof house of a Jubo League leader at Chawk Joykrishnapur in Joypurhat Sadar upazila early yesterday.

Ayub Hossain Mithu, joint convener of Badsha union unit of Jubo League, said some unidentified criminals set fire to his three-room house with patrol.

One room was totally gutted by the fire, while the rest were damaged partially, Mithu said, claiming that the fire caused Tk 4 lakh worth of damage.

Fire fighters managed to douse the fire after an hour long effort.

A case was filed with Joypurhat Police Station.
