JAMMU: In connection with Christmas celebrations and ease the stress of jail inmates Father Thomas- State Co-ordinator for Prison Ministry on Saturday organised a cultural programme in the premises of District Jail, here this afternoon.
Fr. Jose Vadakkel, Vicar General, Jammu-Srinagar Diocese was the chief guest while Sr. Superintendent District Jail Jammu Dinesh Sharma was the guest of honour. Hundreds of jail inmates including staff members enjoyed the cultural programme with full joy. The Cultural Programme was organised in the district jail on the directions of Director General Prisons SK Mishra. The students from Presentation Convent School and St. Peter’s convent school presented colourful programme on the occasion which were highly applauded by the audience. Christmas cake was also distributed among the jail inmates and staff members.
