Chhattisgarh government announced to observe former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna awardee Atal Bihari Vajpayee's birthday on December 25 as 'Good Governance Day' all over the state, a press statement of the government informed on Friday.
CS Vivek Dhand on December has issued a circular to all the five Divisional Commissioners and 27 District Collectors and Zilla Panchayats' Chief Executive Officers informing them that December 25 will be observed as 'Good Governance Day'.
The circular mentions that domestic gas connections should be distributed to large number of citizens under the Prime Minister 'Ujjwala' project. Awareness also should be created regarding the cashless transactions.
Exhibitions should be conducted highlighting the developmental works of the State Government. Essay writing competitions should be held in schools -colleges. Folk songs shows should be conducted conveying the messages to the masses.
