33 selected to leadership program
Thirty-three current and emerging leaders were recently selected to participate in the 2018 Leadership Northern Colorado program.
Leadership Northern Colorado, a joint initiative of the Fort Collins, Greeley and Loveland chambers of commerce, the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado and the Community Foundation Serving Greeley and Weld County, is designed to build human capacity and to identify, define and address the issues facing Northern Colorado.
"The selection committee had a tremendous task when they were asked to select our eighth class. We had fantastic applications for the program and, as a result, have an outstanding class," said Ann Hutchison, executive vice president of the Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce.

The first all-day session for class participants will be Jan. 23. The program is a six-month interactive development program that will be focused on regional issues, regionalism and regional leadership skills. The program is sponsored by Kaiser Permanente.
Fort CollinsWomen's recovery center opens
AspenRidge Recovery, a Colorado-based addiction recovery organization, has opened a new Women's Center in Fort Collins. The Women's Center will provide both outpatient treatment and a 90-day in-house recovery setting.
The AspenRidge North women's program will provide comprehensive services for women, including both intensive outpatient treatment and residence in a sober housing environment.
During the 90-day recovery program, patients will participate in individually tailored programming for rehabilitation, have access to mental health, addiction, and trauma psychiatry, family psychiatry, and practical life-skills classes to support reintegration to society.
Female-specific therapy will address topics such as juggling family life and self-care, and the stresses of family caretaking.

• The Emporium Kitchen and Wine Market opened Dec. 6 at 378 Walnut St. in downtown Fort Collins. The new establishment features The Kitchen, an "American brasserie"; The Market "hangout" offering deli items, wine, gifts and made-to-order sandwiches; Bowerbird Coffee shop featuring products from Peritus Coffee Roasters; and Magic Rat, a bar and music venue.
• Baty Livestock of Loveland has joined the American Angus Association.
People
• Drew Johnson has joined Western States Bank in Loveland as vice president of commercial loans. He worked for seven years at First Interstate Bank in Laramie, Wyo., where he was named co-Rotarian of the Year in 2012.
• Syndey Baty of Loveland has become a junior member of the American Angus Association.
