I’d be surprised if people are disappointed
The 43-year-old admitted he would be “surprised” if fans of Game of Thrones were disappointed with the ending but acknowledged people will always be divided.
He continued: “However [creators Dan Weiss and David Benioff] choose to end the show there’s always going to be people who have their opinion about how the show should end.
“I’d be surprised if people are disappointed because there’s a lot of effort and love gone into this, and I think it’s very satisfying. So hopefully everyone will agree.”

The English star revealed he is shocked his character, who fought alongside Jon Snow (played by Kit Harrington) at Castle Black, has lasted so long in Westeros.
“I’m grateful and so is my mortgage,” he joked. “In a way I’m surprised just because, just for a character to have that longevity in a show where characters get killed off so regularly.”
Fans of the show are still in the dark about when the final season will hit TV screens but Sophie Turner (plays Sansa Stark) recently dashed viewers’ hopes that it was coming sooner rather than later.
