She’s one of the best-known businesswomen in her industry, but her 311,000 followers could barely recognise her as a fresh-faced youngster in yesterday’s throwback snap.

The photo, which was taken on Christmas Day in 1974, shows a young girl shyly smiling as she strums a guitar.

And while fans can be forgiven for not recognising the star, the picture is actually of a young Elle Macpherson.

Sporting an “ELLE” top in the sweet shot, the Australian model captioned it: “Elle T-shirt. Name T’s were all the rage.”

Proving that the model has always been fashion-forward, the upload shows 10-year-old Elle letting her ombre hair fall around her shoulders.

Followers soon filled the TV host’s feed with compliments about the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue model, while others were shocked when they realised who was in the flashback picture.

One commented: “That’s not you?” as another wrote: “I’d recognise those eyes anywhere!”

A third reply stated: “That looks like it was taken today! Funny how styles come back around.”

Meanwhile, a fan of the iconic supermodel wrote: “Wow what a great shot. Do you ever look back and think did that little girl have any idea of what the future would hold for her? Amazing.”

The former Britain’s Next Top Model host rose to fame over 30 years ago, after appearing on the front cover of magazines including Elle, Marie Claire, Vogue and Cosmopolitan.
