3 sent to jail over Barlekha triple murder

Moulvibazar: A Moulvibazar court on Friday sent three women to jail in a case filed over the triple murder of mother, daughter and son in the district.

The three accused are: Alifzan Begum, 42, Monoara Begum, 52 and Nasima Akther, 25.

Earlier police produced the three accused before the court in the afternoon, later the court ordered to send the accused to jail.

Md. Shahidur Rahman, officer in-charge of Barlekha police station confirmed the matter.

On December 19, mother, daughter and son of a family found dead in their own house at Bhaolakandi village in Barlekha upazila. Police interrogated several people, including the three women, in this connection.

On Thursday, a case was filed with Barlekha police station in this connection. The women were shown arrested in the case.
