Man, minor boy held for gang-raping Class 6 student in Kaithal

CHANDIGARH: Police on Thursday arrested a man and detained a minor boy for allegedly sexually abusing a Class VI student in a village in Kaithal district.
"The minor boy has been sent to the juvenile home in Ambala while the 32-year-old accused was sent to judicial custody," Dhand police station SHO Manish Kumar said.


The incident came to light on Wednesday when father of the girl lodged a complaint about her kidnapping. The complainant had alleged that the duo had kidnapped his daughter.


Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) personnel were pressed into the probe and the girl was recovered on Thursday evening. Both the accused were also arrested.


The girl was handed over to her parents after the medical examination. Her statement was also recorded.


"The juvenile boy was produced before the duty magistrate on Thursday evening. The adult accused was produced before the court on Friday. Now, we have started preparing their charge-sheets as well," the SHO said.
