Sky Sports announce Championship fixtures: Leeds make statement, Aston Villa selected

SKY SPORTS have confirmed the next batch of Championship fixtures to be televised in February.

Aston Villa vs Birmingham at Villa Park has been selected for TV coverage

Cardiff City’s trip to The Den to face Millwall on Friday, February 9 (7.45pm) kicks off that weekend’s action.

The Yorkshire derby between Sheffield United and Leeds (12.30pm) follows the next day.

And the Second City derby between and Birmingham rounds off the action on Sunday, February 11 at 12pm. 

Millwall provided an update for their supporters.

A statement from the club read: “Millwall's Sky Bet Championship fixture against Cardiff City at The Den has been brought forward to Friday 9th February (kick-off 7.45pm).

“The match, originally scheduled for Saturday 10th February, will be televised live on Sky.

“Tickets for the fixture will go on sale in the coming weeks. Please keep an eye on the club's official social media accounts and website for information.”

confirmed on their website that the kick-off time against the Blades has been moved.

Sheffield United vs Leeds United has also been selected for TV coverage

A statement read: “Our forthcoming away Sky Bet Championship fixture against Sheffield United has been selected for live broadcast on Sky Sports.

“The fixture date remains unchanged and the game will now kick-off 15 minutes later than scheduled, with the match having already been brought forward on the advice of South Yorkshire Police.”

have informed Blues fans that ticket information for the trip to Villa Park “will be confirmed in due course, closer to the game.”
