Suresh Raina, Shikhar Dhawan and Gautam Gambhir were among the cricketers who attended the wedding reception of Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli and top Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma in New Delhi on Thursday.

Among the trio, Raina took to Twitter first to share a picture with the newlywed couple, besides writing a congratulatory note. The Uttar Pradesh batsman, who announced a successful completion of the Yo-Yo test a day back, posted as many as four photographs from the reception venue.

In one of them, he was seen standing alongside Virat, Anushka and his wife Priyanka Raina.

Raina also shared pictures of Shikhar Dhawan and his family.

Meanwhile, another picture posted by one of Kohli’s fans on Twitter showed the Indian skipper striking a funny pose with his teammate Dhawan.

Gautam Gambhir, along with his wife, was also spotted attending the event.

Kohli and Anushka got married in Italy on December 11. After the Delhi reception, the couple will host another grand reception in Mumbai on December 26. Major Bollywood personalities, top cricketers and leading corporate leaders are expected to attend the event.

The couple will then travel to South Africa for new year celebrations before Kohli joins the Indian cricket team touring the rainbow nation for a cricket series. India will play three Test, six ODIs, and three T20Is during the much-hyped tour. The first Test begins at Newlands on January 5.

Though India have enjoyed a purple patch under Kohli’s captaincy winning nine series on the trot, most of these wins have come at home and against depleted Sri Lanka and West Indies away. The series against the mighty South Africans is, therefore, being seen as the real Test for Kohli’s men.
