In an emotional letter to the former chief minister, a copy of which was release to the media, Raja said Karunanidhi protected him like a mother who would take care of her child in the womb. "It was because of your affection, care and concern, I was able to face the spectrum storm. I submit this verdict at your feet with gratitude," said Raja, who was acquitted from the case on Thursday along with Karunanidhi's daughter M K Kanimozhi and others.



"From the hands of a cartel, telecom industry was liberalised and the commonman is now able to enjoy the fruits of technolgy. However, the revolution was dubbed as scam and ruthless allegations were made," he said.

Raja further said that some forces, which were unable to stomach the growth of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, a regional party, in the national arena, made use of the 2G issue to eliminate it from the political arena.

Quoting Thiruvalluvar, Osho, Periyar EVR and CN Annadurai, Raja said hiding of truth is like sowing a seed in the soil and it would come out anytime. He also thanked DMK working president M K Stalin for his support to him.
