Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, dubbed ‘Virushka’ by social media users, held the first of their two wedding receptions at the Taj Diplomatic Enclave in New Delhi on Thursday.
Virat Kohli wore a fully black ‘bandh-gala’ with a shawl whereas Anushka Sharma could be seen sporting a red and golden saree.
The Indian cricket team skipper and the Bollywood actor had earlier tied the knot in a private wedding ceremony in Tuscany, Italy, on December 11.
After the second reception, which will be held in Mumbai on December 26, the couple will travel to South Africa where Virat Kohli will start prepping for the upcoming series.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley were among the high-profile guests at the wedding reception of star cricketer Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma here on Thursday.
Anushka Sharma will spend New Year’s Eve with him and return to India in the first week of January 2018 to begin the next shooting schedule of Anand L Rai’s film with Shah Rukh Khan in Mumbai.

Virat Kohli played for India during the three-match Test series against Sri Lanka. Kohli was at his best as the hosts won their ninth consecutive Test series victory on the trot.
Kohli had been rested from the team for the 3 ODIs and 3 T20s due to his impending marriage.
