Jaffna gangs : Jewellery and cash robbed after assaulting a family 
Police investigations are underway to arrest an unidentified gang who had robbed gold jewellery and cash after forcefully entering a house in Sunganai, Jaffna.
The incident had occurred at around 1.30 am yesterday (21).
According to information a group comprising to 7 to 9 members had entered the house and assaulted the occupants with clubs and swords.
Thereafter, they had fled with 15 pounds of gold jewellery and Rs. 100,000 in cash.
Two of the occupants were hospitalized.
The assailants have left their push-bicycles and slippers in front of the house.
