Pay increase part of instructors’ deal, Dec. 21
If it is true that 26,000 college students withdrew from school as a result of the recent protracted strike by teachers, then this ranks as a huge failure on the part of the Kathleen Wynne Liberal government.
The fact that this strike was allowed to drag along for five weeks points to a staggering lack of leadership on the part of the province. The inevitable end should have happened at the very beginning, not after thousands of students had their year compromised. They ended up as collateral damage to a system that needs to be changed.
When will we have a government committed to making education an essential service?
