Benchmark indices edged higher in Friday's trade amid positive cues from other Asian markets. The gains on indices were led by index heavyweights such as the HDFC duo, Larsen & Toubro, ITCBSE 0.04 % and Reliance IndustriesBSE -0.16 %. At 9.24 am, the 30-share Sensex was trading 91.52 points, or 0.27 per cent, higher at 33,847.80. Nifty50 rose 23.10 points, or 0.22 per cent, to 10,463.40 ahead of a long weekend.
