Market Now: Auto stocks bullish; MRF, Tata Motors up 2%
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 32 were trading up.
NEW DELHI: Auto stocks MRF (up 2.69 per cent), Tata Motors (DVR) (up 2.48 per cent), Motherson Sumi Systems (up 1.08 per cent) and Tata Motors (up 1.08 per cent) climbed over 1 per cent in the Nifty Auto index in Friday's trade.

The Nifty Auto index was trading 0.60 per cent up at 11,948 around 01:35 pm (IST).

Shares of Maruti Suzuki India (up 0.71 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra (up 0.51 per cent), Apollo Tyres (up 0.41 per cent), Bosch (up 0.37 per cent), Ashok Leyland (up 0.21 per cent) and Bharat Forge (up 0.16 per cent) were also trading up around that time.

However, Amara Raja Batteries (down 0.54 per cent), Hero MotoCorp (down 0.16 per cent), Exide Industries (down 0.14 per cent), TVS Motor Company (down 0.12 per cent) and Bajaj Auto (down 0.02 per cent) were seen in the red.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was 50 points up at 10,490, while the BSE Sensex was 180 points up at 33,937.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 32 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Tata Consultancy Services, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Finance, Infosys and State Bank of India were among the top gainers.

However, UltraTech Cement, Lupin, HCL Technologies, Dr Reddy's Labs, Coal India and Tata Steel were among the top losers.
