In the exercise, the Army looking to the increasing terrorism along with new challenges across the border, is trying to make its war talent strong and better. Especially in the context of fighting war in desert area of Jaisalmer-Barmer, Army units artillery, armed, mechanized together demonstrated it fire power.

Army Southern Command chief Lt. General D R Soni, Konark Corp Officer Commandaing R K Jagga, 12 Rapid Division Commander Major General O P Guliya and many senior officers have witnessed special army exercise in desert area.
Army's seven-day training exercise 'Hamesh Vijay' is culminating on Friday in Thar Desert of Jaisalmer, where Army chief and other officers will make their presence.
Defence source said this exercise sets new standards in sync between the army and the air force. Action of the armoured vehicles coupled with insertion of troops by third dimension is potentially extremely devastating for the enemy. This exercise is testing those vistas duly supported by the latest gadgetry and intelligence gathering platforms that both army and Airforce possess. In a fluid environment with rapidly changing battle scenarios and constant inflow of information, the commanders have to take decisions swiftly and such exercises go a long way in honing the skills of all persons in their respective roles.
