Mikael Svensson has joined hospitality management and building solutions company Louis T Collection as senior vice president.
The hospitality executive will look after the operations of the group’s current hotel portfolio and work with its technical services team.
Svensson has an experience of 25 years in hospitality across Asia and beyond.
In his previous role he was the general manager of luxury residence Viceroy Palm Jumeirah Beach Dubai.
Earlier than this he worked as the general manager at Park Hyatt Canberra (Australia), Hyatt Regency Hua Hin (Thailand) and at Tokyo’s prestigious Roppongi Hills Club.
Svensson started his career in hospitality in Sweden and later relocated to Asia to pursue his passion for food and beverage.
Grant Healy, chief executive of Louis T Collection said that Mikael has an in-depth operational expertise and creativity.
He will be an addition to the management team and will help in strategic growth opportunities across Asia and other parts of the world.
He further added that Svensson is a creative and results-focused operator.
His experience in conceptualising, opening, managing and renovating a wide range of hotels, restaurants and bars will be beneficial to the group.
