Over 10 Quintals of Opium Puppy Seized, Four from Jodhpur Arrested in Kota

KOTA: Anantpura police on routine checking of the vehicles on Wednesday evening happened to grab notable success with seizure of 10 quintals of opium puppy from Askoda car and TATA mini truck and arrested four persons, all native to Jodhpur. Police also recovered one pistol and five carriages from possession of one of the four accused. Two of the four accused are hard core and one of them absconded from parole in 2016.

Four hardcore smugglers identified as Arjunram Garg, (32),resident of Motara, Kishan Jat (30), of Bhagatki Kothi, Badararam Vishnoi (38) of Lolawat and Bhagawana Bheel (37) of Dechu police station are, all from Joshpur, were today evening arrested from in front of Jugpura police check on Jhalawar road during routine check, stated a police press release here. The four, two in SKODA car and other two in Tata mini truck were stopped during the routine check today when they attempted to flee but were grabbed by police team.


During the search over ten quintals of opium puppy in separates bags and packets were seized from the two vehicles, the release said.


One pistol and five cartages were recovered from Arjunram's possession. Arjunram is a convicted criminal who fled away from the parole in 2016 from Jodhpur district. At least eight different cases of smuggling are lodged against him.


Kishan Jat is also a hardcore criminal against whom 33 cases are lodged.
