Odia writers Gayatri Saraf, Suryamani Khuntia bag Kendra Sahitya Akademi award

BHUBANESWAR: Two noted writers of Odia language -- Gayatri Saraf and Suryamani Khuntia have been selected for this year's Kendra Sahitya Akademi award.

While Saraf will receive the award for her short story compilation 'Etavatira Shilpi', Khuntia has bagged the award for translation of Irawati Karve's Marathi book 'Yuganta' to Odia.

Other literary works of Saraf include, ‘Anahata Parampara’, ‘Alokita Andhara’, ‘Barshara Odhana Tale’, ‘Nila Janha ra Jui’ and ‘Aaina Ra Janha’.
