NPU readies for Senate meeting tomorrow

Hectic preparations are on for the December 23 Senate meeting of Nilamber Pitamber University in Betla. Sources said final touches are being given to the preparation done for this first ever senate meeting.

S N Singh vice chancellor of NPU said, “We have set up a core committee for this and the core committee is pulling out all stops to make this Senate meeting a trouble free one.” B Singh pro vice chancellor is the chairman of the core committee.

B Singh PVC of NPU said, “We have decentralized the responsibility by way of forming smaller committees and have put on it senior teachers and officials of the university for a smooth and hassle free conduct of this Senate meeting.”

He further said the university has drawn a meticulous plan right from transportation of the Senators to the venue to their accommodation.

Betla venue is 16 KMs away from NH 75 and is right on state highway 9.

For the convenience of the Senators coming from Ranchi and other places flex boards indicating Betla venue has been put up at strategic locations said sources.

Sources said there goes huge and massive paper documentation for Senate meeting and the university is bracing up for the same.

The Pro VC said there would be two eco friendly counters at NIC Betla the venue of this meeting one for the registration of the SEnators on their arrival there and one other for payment of their TA /DA right on the spot once the meeting is over.

The NIC Betla venue has replica of elephant, tiger & dinosaur presenting a feeling of oneness with nature here.

S N Singh VC  said, “We expect our Ex VCs attending this meeting.  The university has arranged for their accommodation here.”  A little over half a dozen rooms have been kept as standby said sources.

Sources said the university is toying with the idea to shift some of its officials and staff to Betla a day before this meeting for a better coordinate work there. However the university officials are too concerned over the monkey menace in and around NIC Betla.M P Singh CF cum Field Director tiger reserve Palamu said ‘ We will provide some expert hands to shoo away these monkeys  from the venue’.
