The local cycling fraternity is currently in a state of mourning following the passing of the Former Guyana Cycling Federation (GCF) President and pillar in the Charlestown Community, Winston George Humphrey.
Humphrey, died on Sunday following a period of illness at a city hospital. He was 69.
The father of eight and founder of the Roraima Bikers Club, was well known for sponsoring several wheelsmen through his popular Humphrey’s Bakery on Kettley Street.
Humphrey also made numerous donations to several homes for the elderly and shelters.
