The tiniest and cutest star of Bollywood, Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi turned one yesterday. As his parents had said, his first birthday was an intimate affair where he was surrounded with his loved ones, which included his grandparents. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, he brought in his birthday at his ancestral home, the Pataudi Palace. Spread over acres and acres, it was a befitting venue for a baby who is royalty personified. From enjoying a ride on horseback to dressing up in truly Nawabi attire, Taimur’s first birthday was full of moments. We have to thank aunt Karisma Kapoor for giving us some precious glimpses into the celebrations. Kareena Kapoor Khan’s bestie Amrita Arora Ladak was one of the few guests at the do. We saw Karan Kapoor, son of the late veteran Shashi Kapoor at the celebrations. Taimur’s grandfather Randhir Kapoor said that Shashiji was surely showering his blessings on them from above. The morning party was all about cake-cutting, rides and pictures but the evening bash saw the Kapoor gals step out looking as stylish as ever. They donned black outfits with a bit of bling. The village life
With just a few hours to go for his birthday eve, Taimur Ali Khan enjoyed a horse ride and a tractor ride. Cousins Kiaan Raj Kapoor and Sameira too accompanied him as did grandma Babita.
Morning glory
Karan Johar sparked off the celebrations with this smiling click of Taimur soaking in the sun on his father’s lap. Just look at that mop of black hair. And doesn’t that striped sweater remind us of his other grandpa Rishi Kapoor? The little fella knows how to laze in the winter mornings as much as in the monsoons of Mumbai.
Cuteness overload
Our hearts melted as we saw this picture of Taimur shared by aunt Karisma. Wearing a pair of shirts and a blue vest, he is in such a happy mood. Cute and cuddly Taimur makes us wanna hug him.
Kala Chashma Swag
We think this picture is clicked just after a bath as his hair seems wet. The munchkin is dressed in white trousers and a striped shirt. Taimur also has the Kala Chashma swag.
It’s yummy
The cake was a special three tier one with a safari theme. The little one cut the cake in the presence of his parents and loved ones. We can see that Taimur wanted to put his hands on the cake that had animal figures placed on it. In one picture we can see him flanked by his grandmothers, Babita and Sharmila Tagore. The joy on Kareena and Saif’s face is so priceless. He is wearing his fave Ralph Lauren T-shirt.
The awesome moment
The moment of the day had to be the one where Saif and Kareena look romantically into each other’s eyes as baby Taimur sits on his dad’s lap. It is such a magical click. A play area was organised for him on the special day. We can see it in the background.
Nawabi style
Taimur changed from his jeans into a royal outfit comprising of a pink kurta, white bottoms and a matching white jacket. He looked every inch a royal baby. His afternoon was spent in the lawn having fun with the other kids.
Cutest biker boy
This one is a personal favourite. The Pataudi Palace seems to be equipped with all his toys. The little one is loving the Mickey Mouse baby bicycle while the other kid is tucked in the taxi.
The elders take over…
Taimur must have felt really tired and sleepy after all the activity and excitement on his birthday. The little fellow fell off to sleep and the elders decide to enjoy the winter nights at Pataudi. Kareena, Karisma and Amrita stepped out looking like a million bucks in black. Grandparents Randhir Kapoor and Babita and Karan Kapoor also joined the party. It is time to clink the wine glasses.
Tiny Taimur already has more than 100 fanclubs in his name. People went gaga ever since the first picture of the baby went viral from the hospital. And we were dead ever after Kareena Kapoor Khan’s snap with a few months old Taimur in her lap wearing Gucci shoes hit the Internet.
