The remake of “A Star Is Born” starring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga has a new release date. The film will hit theaters 10/05/18, moving there from its previously assigned 05/18/18.

The move takes “A Star is Born” out of a very crowded month that starts with “Avengers: Infinity War” (May 4) and ends with Disney’s Han Solo movie (05/18/18), and lands it smack in the middle of awards season.

The third remake of the Oscar-winning 1937 film, “A Star is Born” tracks the relationship between two entertainers at opposing sides of their careers: an up and coming woman just discovering her talent, and a male superstar whose self destructive tendencies are beginning to derail his success. It was first remade in 1954, starring Judy Garland and James Mason, and in 1976 starring Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson, which netted Streisand an Oscar for Best Original Song.
