Leader of Opposition in the state assembly Ajay Singh said Christian community has been facing planned attacks and unfortunately government is patronizing culprits.
Ajay Singh demanded to take immediate strict action to curb these attacks and fair investigation should be conducted and severe punishment should be given to the culprits.
Taking a jibe at CM Chouhan, Ajay Singh said that Chouhan should put into practice his desire of respect for all religious in the state and not by organizing events at his house and this approach should reflect from his government.
In a letter to Chouhan, Chief Secretary and DGP, Ajay Singh mentioned that from January 1 to December, 62 incidents of attacks on Christians in the state has been conspired and people from Christian community have been framed.
The community has faced attacks and been harassed in Satna, Dewas, Morena, Balaghat, Guna, Sehore, Bhopal, Ratlam, Khandwa, Shivpuri, Petlawad and Jhabua. These incidents have made the community to feel insecure.
Singh reminded CM Chouhan that in any state the security and protection of rights of weaker section and minorities is responsibility of state government and police.
The CM should present community with the gift of security and not with decorative ceremony on their biggest annual festival Christmas.
