Young World painting contest tomorrow

It will be held at V.P. Siddhardha Public School in Mogalrajpuram

Its time for aspiring young Picassos to wield their paint brushes as the much awaited annual Young World Painting Competition is back.

The event will be held on December 22 (Friday) at the V.P.Siddhardha Public School at Mogalrajpuram in city.

The participants will be divided in junior (classes 4 to 6) and seniors (classes 7 to 9) categories. Students who have registered online and at The Hindu office will have to report at the venue by 9.30 a.m. No registrations will be allowed on the spot.

The two-hour-long competition will start at 10.30 a.m. and topics will be given on the spot. Prizes will be given to the winners the same afternoon at the venue and all finalists will be given trophies and certificates.

The participants should avoid use of sketch pens and marker pens; drawing sheets will be given by the organisers and The Hindu will retain the paintings with it. Thyrocare is the main sponsor of the event, Arrow Publicasions is the knowledge partner and V.P. Siddhardha Public School is the venue partner.
