Rajasthan State Institute of Public Administration (RIPA) vacated its hostels where four more trainee
Rajasthan Administrative Services (RAS) officers were tested positive for the disease at Officers Training School (OTS) on Wednesday.
Swine flu scare has gripped OTS of HCM RIPA following seven trainee RAS officers were tested positive for the disease in the past six days.
The trainee RAS officers were seen wearing masks to ward off risk of getting infected with the swine flu virus before leaving OTS for their homes.
The first trainee RAS officer was diagnosed with swine flu on December 14. He is a resident of
Ajmer. Since then, two trainee RAS officers from Jodhpur, one each from Churu, Jalore, Barmer and
Sawai Madhopur were also found infected with swine flu virus.
There are 281 officers selected from
Rajasthan Public Service Commission in 2013 were completing their foundation course.
They will be posted in different parts of the state for 16 different services of the state government including police, accounts and tourism. But, they have to vacate hostels before valediction ceremony.
"We have postposed Valedictory ceremony which was scheduled to be held on December 22. The foundation course was completed on Tuesday," said Dhara Singh Meena, deputy director HCM RIPA. The officials said that they would conduct de-infecting activities of HCM RIPA due to cases of swine flu have been reported.
Health department officials said that they have administered Tamiflu tablets to suspected cases of swine flu and to those who were in touch with infected persons.
For the past four days, the health department's team are continuously visiting OTS.
There are 13 more persons tested positive for swine flu in the city on Wednesday. So far, more than 120 cases of swine flu have been reported in the state in December.
