Geneva, Dec 21 (IANS/WAM) The United Arab humanitarian role and its assistance to refugees from various parts of the world was hailed at an international panel debate at the here.

Hanif Al Qassim, of the Centre for Human Rights Advancement and Global Dialogue, praised the UAE's leading humanitarian role and its assistance to refugees from various parts of the world while stressing that this vision in line with the country's humanitarian path that was established since its creation.

Qassim said the was committed to help people suffering from the effects of crises and instability in their countries, without considering their nationalities and beliefs.

He called for the adoption of a new joint working agenda that will unlock the potential of international social mobility as well as for the combined efforts of and the to respond to the current migrant and crisis.

Idriss Jazairy, of the Centre and Director of the Debate, called on all UN member countries to implement the UN Global Compact for Migration while pointing out that the migrant and crisis can be solved through dialogue, alliances and multilateral diplomacy.
