ANDY COLE believes there was a couple of players at fault for Bristol City’s injury-time winner against Manchester United last night.

Andy Cole believes two players were at fault for Bristol City's winner

Jose Mourinho’s side found themselves up against a fearless Bristol City side in their Carabao Cup quarter-final yesterday.

Joe Bryan gave his side a second half lead before Zlatan Ibrahimovic equalised from a free-kick.

But the moment of the match belonged to Korey Smith who managed to fire past Sergio Romero in stoppage time to send the home supporters into raptures.

It means Lee Johson’s side will face Manchester City for in the semi-final.

And it also means United are knocked out of a competition they had a strong chance of winning, with their hopes of lifting the Premier League slipping.

Mourinho opted against putting the whole blame on his United side, instead choosing to praise Bristol City.

But Old Trafford legend Cole pinpointed Scott McTominay and Marcos Rojo as two key culprits for Bristol City’s winner.

“If you look at players not going with their runners,” Cole said on Football on 5: The Carabao Cup.

“If you look at the young boy in midfield, McTominay, he gets caught watching the ball.

“But for me Marcos Rojo can move over and jog over, pick him up and United won’t let him in that position.”
