A memorial service for Jackie "Wolfe" Winston will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec 23 in Brown's Eternal Light Chapel. Rev. Larry Lindsey will officiate.
Jackie Winston, affectionately known as “Wolfe,” was born Aug. 21, 1963 to Beatrice and Arthur Winston in Helena.
Jackie confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. She was a proud Class of 1982 graduate of Central High School. After graduation, she attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff where she pledged Delta Sigma Theta. She graduated from UAPB in 1986 with a degree in social work.
Jackie later relocated to Jacksonville, Florida where she worked as a social worker for many years until she became ill and returned home to Helena.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Henry Alexander, Clemon Brown and Robert McShane and a sister, Elizabeth Bobo.
Jackie departed this life on Dec.15, 2017 in St. Louis, Missouri surrounded by her family.
Jackie leaves to cherish her memory, five sisters and an adopted sister, Doris (Robert) Bobo of St. Louis, Linda Brown and Gloria (Terry) Gause of Helena-West Helena, Patricia Lindsey of Omaha, Nebraska, Carolyn Lindsey of Little Rock, and Patty Hall-Henry of Helena; five brothers, Roosevelt (Lucille) Suggs of Columbus, Georgi, James (Debra) Lindsey of Omaha, Larry Lindsey of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Curtis Stokes of St. Louis, Gregory (Ngozi) Stokes of Copperas Cove, Texas; a host of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly; and dear friends.
