A total of 30 trains were delayed, 11 rescheduled and 15 others were cancelled due to fog, low visibility and other operational reasons in Delhi. The poor visibility due to fog also affected the air traffic. The national capital is witnessing severe cold conditions since few days.
Earlier yesterday, a shallow layer of fog resulted in the delay of 54 north-bound rail services. 12 other trains were rescheduled due to poor visibility. The minimum temperature was recorded at 9.4 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year, the MeT office was quoted by PTI.
“Fifty-four north-bound trains were running behind schedule while departure of 12 trains were rescheduled keeping in mind the bad weather conditions,” a senior railway official said. Read More…
