The professional dancer shared a series of snaps of her with her nieces on Instagram yesterday - just five days before Christmas - sparking rumours that the dancers could be spending the festive period apart for the first time since tying the knot.

Beside one of the photos, the Venezuelan beauty wrote “family first”, while another said: “Home for Christmas.”

The 35-year-old continued to suggest that she’s enjoying some time stateside, after posting a picture of herself and her two young nieces alongside the words “love my family”.

Professional dancers Karen and Kevin, who met in New York while working, married two years ago - but recent claims have suggested they may have hit a rocky patch.

And while she can be seen wearing her wedding ring, her uploads come just two days after her spouse was spotted on a night out with his former Strictly dance partner, Louise.

The Eternal singer, 47, and Grimsby-born dancer, 35, were pictured looking close as they chatted in a bar after watching the ballet on Monday evening.

Joined by pals for the outing, Kevin and the mother-of-two, who have become firm friends since the BBC One show, seemed happy and relaxed.

It was the first time the pair had been seen together since reports emerged claiming that Karen had warned Louise’s estranged husband Jamie to try and keep the Strictly 2016 dance partners away from each other.

A source told The Sun: “Karen will fly to New York and spend it with her family while Kevin plans to travel up to Grimsby to be with his. 

“They will get back together after Christmas and decide what they are going to do. Right now their marriage hangs in the balance and their future together as a couple looks very uncertain.”
