2G scam case verdict: Who said what

A war of words broke out between the UPA and the NDA immediately after the 2G case verdict was out on Thursday. Former PM Manmohan Singh said that the court's verdict has proved that the 2G scam was a "massive propaganda against the UPA", while finance minister Arun Jaitley slammed Congress for treating the 2G verdict as a badge of honour. Propaganda against UPA without any foundation: Manmohan
Asked if he felt vindicated, Singh said: "I do not want to boast (about) anything. The court's judgement has to be respected. I am glad that the court has pronounced unambiguously. All the massive propaganda which was being done against the UPA was without any foundation. The judgement speaks for itself."

Finance minister Arun Jaitley

"The 2G spectrum allocation was a policy designed to promote corruption. Some Congress leader are viewing this verdict as a badge of honour and a certification that the 2G spectrum allocation was an honest policy."
