Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, was repeatedly pressed on CNN whether he shares talking points with the White House on special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation of Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

Not only did CNN's John Berman want to know if Jordan, a member of the House Judiciary Committee, use talking points coordinated with the Trump administration for questions he posed to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein this week, but also for when he appears on Fox News.

"Of course not. Of course not," Jordan said when asked if there were talking points.

Jordan tried to steer the conversation to the coordination behind the infamous "Trump dossier," but Berman wasn't having it and referred to Jordan's claim in an interview that there was FBI plot to keep Trump out of the White House.

"You've been on Fox News when you say that the FBI was acting to keep Donald Trump from being president of the United States," Berman said. "Before you go on Fox News, do you talk to them? Do you talk to them about these claims that you will make?"

"No," Jordan shot back.

"I talk to my colleagues," he continued. "I look at the evidence and I talk with our press people who book us on your show and we talk about the coordination that exists between the Clinton campaign and the Russians."

The tense back-and-forth continued throughout the interview.
