PIMPRI CHINCHWAD: Shravan Hardikar, the Pimpri Chinchwad municipal commissioner, has sought all the records that pertain to the objections raised — regarding expenditure of about Rs 1,700 crore — in the audit report. While records for Rs 969 crore of expenditure have already been submitted, the records for the remaining amount are still pending.

This follows the state government's directive to the civic body to act on Shiv Sena leader Maruti Bhapkar's complaint about the objections in the audit report.

Padmashree Taldekar, the chief auditor of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, said, "We are conducting a special audit of the civic works from 1999 onwards. The municipal commissioner has extended the deadline, for submission of the remaining records, till December 31."
